Liz Engelhardt is a native New Yorker, born and raised in Greenwich Village.
She attended Fashion Institute of Technology, received a Bachelors of Fine Arts degree in painting, sculpture, photography and printmaking from Hunter College and has taken numerous courses at the New York School of Interior Design.
She began her career working on the window display team at Barneys New York and Lord and Taylor and as a scenic painter at the Manhattan Theater club.
Her love of the arts and experience as an artist in mediums that range from painting and sculpture to photography and printmaking seamlessly translated into the world of styling.
Liz came to prop styling and set design after working as a photographer’s assistant and studio manager. Soon after that, she began a 15 year career as a props, set design and lifestyle wardrobe stylist for advertising and editorial photography and commercials..
Her wide client base, ranging from advertising to editorial, include, Amex, Anheuser Busch, AT&T, Avon, , Bacardi, Bloomingdales, Chase Bank, , Goldman Sachs , Hewlett Packard , HIP, , IBM, Kraft, MasterCard, Merk, Microsoft, , Pfizer , Visa, Neiman Marcus, Proctor & Gamble, Lenox China, Time Warner Cable, Vanity Fair, Vogue, Travel & Leisure, Gotham, Bon Appetite and New York Magazine.
Growing up in New York exposed Liz to an endless variety of style and culture: a colorful palette from which she was able to draw great artistic and design inspiration.
